TDI Trimix Diver

Course Prerequisites 

The minimum age to enroll on the TDI Trimix Diver course is 18, you should already be certified as TDI Advanced Nitrox AND Decompression Procedures Diver, or equivalent, and have logged at least 100 logged open water dives.

Who this course is for

Divers that have already completed an Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course (or equivalents) will be ready for this program, using trimix as a bottom gas will extend depth ranges whilst enabling a diver to reduce narcosis and increase their awareness. A clearer head whilst diving equips a diver to respond more quickly and effectively to problems that may occur.

What you can expect

Following the successful completion of this course, you will be certified to dive to 60 meters, using trimix as a bottom gas. The program covers topics such as advanced decompression dive planning including gas planning based on equivalent narcotic depths, nitrogen and helium absorption and elimination, CNS and OUT limits, Isobaric Counter diffusion, volume requirements, deco gas selection, emergency and contingency planning, stress management, effective gas switching, proper team awareness, and communication, handling multiple deco and travel gas cylinders, emergency procedures, equipment consideration, and much more.

This course is supported by e-learning, we will need to get some additional information from you via email, as soon as we have that and your course payment, we can give you online access.

If you have any suitable equipment of your own we highly recommend using it, however use all the required rental equipment is included in your course fee.  If you would like to purchase equipment from us for use during your course please let us know when making your booking, we can have that ready for you on arrival, see our store for available dive equipment.

All participants need to be medically fit for diving, to determine this please read, and follow the instructions on the Diver Medical Form. If it highlights a condition you have that requires medical approval you will need this prior to going in the water. We recommend you do this prior to your arrival in Moalboal. We can arrange a visit to the doctor here, but facilities may not be to the same standard where you are from. You can find the form here.
