TDI Advanced Trimix

Course Prerequisites 

The minimum age to enroll on the TDI Advanced Trimix course is 18, you should already be certified as TDI Extended Range or Trimix Diver or equivalent, and have logged at least 100 logged dives, 25 must be deeper than 30metres.

Who this course is for

Divers coming in with a trimix diver certification will now look at the use of hypoxic trimix blends with less than 16% oxygen, and the use of travel gases. Divers coming in with an extended range certification will start with the use of normoxic blends which can safely be breathed at the surface. You will increase your depth range to a maximum of 100 meters in training, and develop your in-water abilities.

What you can expect

After successfully completing this course, you will be certified to dive to 100 meters, using trimix as a bottom gas. A heavy emphasis on advanced decompression dive planning including: gas planning based on equivalent narcotic depths, nitrogen and helium absorption and elimination, CNS and OTU limits, isobaric counter diffusion, volume requirements, the use of hypoxic breathing gasses, HPNS and isobaric counter diffusion, deco gas choices, emergency and contingency planning, stress management, effective gas switching protocols, proper trim, buoyancy and propulsion techniques, handling of multiple (minimum of 3) deco and travel gas cylinders, emergency procedures, and more.

This course is not supported by e-learning, but we can send you a soft copy of your course materials as soon as we confirm your booking.

If you have any suitable equipment of your own we highly recommend using it, however use all the required rental equipment is included in your course fee.  If you would like to purchase equipment from us for use during your course please let us know when making your booking, we can have that ready for you on arrival, see our store for available dive equipment.

All participants need to be medically fit for diving, to determine this please read, and follow the instructions on the Diver Medical Form. If it highlights a condition you have that requires medical approval you will need this prior to going in the water. We recommend you do this prior to your arrival in Moalboal. We can arrange a visit to the doctor here, but facilities may not be to the same standard where you are from. You can find the form here.
