TDI Sidemount

Course Prerequisites 

The minimum age to enroll on the TDI Sidemount course is 18, you should already be certified as SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or the equivalent.

Who this course is for

This course serves as an equipment orientation for certified divers who are interested in using the sidemount configuration, it is the ideal configuration for many overhead environments with tight restrictions, but also many open water divers have found benefits for using the setup in open water. during this program, you will learn the emergency procedures, and motor skills needed to use sidemount safely and effectively.

What you can expect

The course covers topics such as gas management utilizing independent tanks, psychological considerations, equipment selection, configuration and modification, tank selection, regulator configuration, weighting, communication via hand and light signals, problem solving, gas-sharing procedures, water entries, S-Drills; specific to sidemount and much more.

This course is supported by e-learning, we will need to get some additional information from you via email, as soon as we have that and your course payment, we can give you online access.

If you have any suitable equipment of your own we highly recommend using it, however use all the required rental equipment is included in your course fee.  If you would like to purchase equipment from us for use during your course please let us know when making your booking, we can have that ready for you on arrival, see our store for available dive equipment.

All participants need to be medically fit for diving, to determine this please read, and follow the instructions on the Diver Medical Form. If it highlights a condition you have that requires medical approval you will need this prior to going in the water. We recommend you do this prior to your arrival in Moalboal. We can arrange a visit to the doctor here, but facilities may not be to the same standard where you are from. You can find the form here.
