PADI Tec 40

Course Prerequisites 

To enroll on the PADI Tec 40 course you must be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver, an Enriched Air Diver, and as a Deep Diver (or show proof of at least 10 dives to 30 meters). The minimum age to enroll on this course is 18 years.   You must have a minimum of 30 logged dives, of which at least 10 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 meters

Who this course is for

This course is for experienced divers who would like to be trained to dive beyond recreational limits, and conduct deep decompression dives using technical diving equipment. Technical diving does come with added inherent risks, divers should be prepared to accept that before participating.

What’s in it for you

Successfully completing this course certifies you to conduct decompression dives to 40 meters or shallower, using air or enriched air as a bottom gas. We highly recommend combining this course with PADI’s Tec 45. Successfully completing this course should be considered the first step of many for aspiring technical divers.

There are some materials for you to enjoy which are included in your course fee, as soon as your course is confirmed we can send you an advance soft copy, and issue the hard copy when you arrive here.

Should you wish to use it all the required equipment is included in the course fee, however, for technical courses we highly recommend the use of your own equipment if available. If you would like to purchase equipment from us for use during your course please let us know when making your booking, we can have that ready for you on arrival, see our store for available dive equipment.

All participants need to be medically fit for diving, to determine this please read, and follow the instructions on the Diver Medical Form. If it highlights a condition you have that requires medical approval you will need this prior to going in the water. We recommend you do this prior to your arrival in Moalboal. We can arrange a visit to the doctor here, but facilities may not be to the same standard where you are from. You can find the form here.
